Build a Team

We are actively recruiting and equipping new team captains to take on new races and events.

Any competition,
    Any time,
        With any of your friends

            ... for the cause of TeamXXXchurch!

Here's how to add a new team and a new event:

• Find a race a that excites you and some of your closest friends... really, it can be just about anything: swim, bike, run, bowl, walk, ping-pong, hot-dog eating?
• Apply to be a team captain.
• Work as a team captain in partnership with TeamXXXchurch.
• Launch a fundraising page.
• Recruit athletes to your event.
• Train.
• Raise awareness about your event, your team and our cause.
• Have fun and enjoy the people on your new team!
• Compete.
• Celebrate!

Building a quality team starts with the team captain. But being an experienced endurance athlete is only a small part of what we are looking for in each of our applicants.

The characteristics of our team captains:

• A solid Christian leader who believes in the mission and ministries of XXXchurch.com
• Willingness & ability to recruit 10+ athletes to your team and chosen race.
• Determination to raise awareness about the ministries of XXXchurch.com
• A commitment to seek personal sponsorship and assist your team in their efforts.
• Prior team leadership experience. In your application, please give some examples, but be encouraged, they do not have to include prior endurance team leadership.
• Exuding encouragement, confidence, determination, placing the value of building a team over any personal agendas or accomplishments.

Ready to lead a group of ambitious athletes to join you in the cause?  If so, begin by recording a 2-3 minute video highlighting your leadership capacity and place it on YouTube.com. Then fill out the basic application. We will review your application and be in contact with you within 3 days.
